Watermelon Mojito

June 22, 2015 By Radhika Malhotra 2 Comments

Grab a watermelon and make this ridiculously easy and absolutely delicious Watermelon Mojito using my simple recipe to quench your thirst.

Watermelon Mojito

These days if I see a fruit lying around in the house all I can think of is ways to turn into a drink, I mean can you think of anything else in this sweltering Delhi heat? So when I see watermelons, I think mojitos. Just chuck some mint leaves, lemon juice, brown sugar and watermelon cubes in a blender and top it with some chilled sprite and maybe some rum, and VOILA. You can feel the heat going away.

Watermelon Mojito Making mojitos, a drink we all love, is actually really easy and you can have it with or without any alcohol in it. Typically white rum is what’s used but I’ve gone the non-alcoholic route for this recipe because I don’t drink at 2pm in the afternoon…UNLESS..I’m at the beach where I chug pina coladas like no one’s watching. Here’s a picture from my recent trip to Goa..This Pina Colada was followed by a Mojito and a bloody mary. Yes, I like to live dangerously. HA. And nope, I’m not afraid to mix my drinks, I was on a holiday!

Back to my Watermelon Mojito and to Delhi. If you’re here too or in a similarly hot region try this watermelon mojito and thank me in your hearts! Trust me, you need this recipe in your life, especially when you’re frying in this blazing sun.

Hi Dhruvi, I’m so sorry I’ve never worked with agar agar before so I really cannot help you! 🙁 But here’s what I found out on one of the websites I trust. Hope this helps. http://www.thekitchn.com/vegetarian-and-vegan-substitutes-for-gelatin-tips-from-the-kitchn-189478
